Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning.

What We Do

The Grove Schoombee Foundation NPC was established in 2022 with the aim of making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children in South Africa.

Daybreak House for Babies is a distinguished facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care for infants aged between 0 to 2 years. Our mission is to ensure a nurturing and secure environment for these precious infants as they eagerly await placement in their potential permanent families.

The Grove Schoombee Foundation NPC collaborates with other cancer care non-profit organisations to identify and support children diagnosed with cancer. At the Grove Schoombee Foundation NPC, we understand the importance of providing comfort and support to children and their families who are battling cancer.

Since November 2022, The Grove Schoombee Foundation has been supporting children who were rescued from abusive and neglected environments. These children started attending school in January 2023 and require special needs schooling, emotional therapy, and medical attention to recover from their traumatic experiences.

Behind the Foundation

Grové taught us we are not defined by the bad things that happen to us. Diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020, he learned through his illness that every day is a gift.

Daybreak House

In South Africa at least 2.8 million children are orphans – that is roughly 14% of all children in South Africa.

Daybreak House is a safe haven for vulnerable babies – helping them towards a brighter tomorrow.
